Well as a part of growing up, I came to fall in love with a special piece of  the desert we call Mecca.  A long time and very dear friend of mine Kirk Klingbiel  (since third grade)  introduced me to Mecca as he did with most of the people in these pictures.  Mecca is located near the Chocolate Mountains by the Salt n Sea in California.  It is an amazing place filled with natural wonders like an oasis (complete with palm trees), The Grotto, Ladder Canyon (complete with Ladders), and Painted Canyon.  The Mecca campout has become a long standing tradition.
